TE Nabolotny enjoys Illini weekend

Glenbrook (Ill.) South two star ranked tight end prospect Michael Nabolotny (6-foot-6, 240 pounds) was finally able to make his official visit to the University of Illinois this weekend, and Nabolotny claims that this was a weekend for him to remember for some time to come.
"I had to reschedule my official visit to Illinois for this weekend because of my basketball schedule," Nabolotny said. "I really lucked out because I was in Champaign for the Illini basketball centennial celebration. It was an amazing weekend to be in Champaign."

Nabolotny came away from his official visit with an even stronger feeling for his decision to commit to the Illini.
"It was a really good visit for me in several regards. First off this was the first time I had a chance to get to know the coaches at Illinois, and they are just a great bunch of guys. I also really enjoyed getting to know the players at Illinois as well. The players are very focused and also very excited to get a chance to play for Coach (Ron) Zook. It was an awesome visit and I had a great time all weekend long. The visit this weekend just cemented my commitment to the Illini."
Nabolotny, a varsity starter for the Titans basketball team this winter, was also impressed with the Illini's Centennial celebration honoring 100 years of Illinois basketball.
"Just to be around all of the fans and the great players and coaches from the past really was an awesome feeling. The atmosphere for the game was amazing and the fans made it a lot of fun. It was a long weekend, but it was a weekend that I'll not forget for a long time to come."
Nabolotny is looking forward to signing his Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
"I can't wait to sign on Wednesday to Illinois. I'm excited about that day and so is my family. Things have really worked out for me and I'm looking forward to playing for the Fighting Illini."
