Wheaton, Ill. tight end prospect Anthony Moeaki (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) tried to find the right words to describe the last few days of his recruiting process. After a minute of thought, Moeaki could only come up with, "it's been a blur."
That blur includes three new scholarship offers according to Moeaki. "I've received scholarship offers this week from Kansas, UCLA and Purdue. UCLA and Purdue were in school this week and they dropped off the scholarship paperwork, and Kansas sent the offer in the mail and they are scheduled to make an in school visit next week."
Moeaki has also been taking a flurry of phone calls since last Saturday, which was the first day college coaches were allowed to call prospect. "I've gotten calls from Notre Dame, BYU, Tennessee, Michigan, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Kansas. Honestly, I've had quite a few calls and I've also missed several calls."
Moeaki also is starting to draw serious recruiting interest from USC. "Coach (Lane) Kiffin was in school this week, and he said that Coach (Norm) Chow saw my junior tape and that he was impressed with it. He also said that they were going to have head coach Pete Carroll watch my tape, and that they would be be calling me soon."
Moeaki also reports that, "LSU is scheduled to be in school tomorrow, and Oklahoma is scheduled to be in on Friday."
Anthony Moeaki currently has scholarship offers from Kansas, UCLA, Notre Dame, Purdue, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan State, Tennessee, Iowa, Illinois, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Brigham Young, Maryland, Louisville and Nebraska.
