TE McAvoy will hit the road shortly

Bloomington, Ill. tight end prospect Tim McAvoy (6-foot-6, 260 pounds) has just returned from a week-long spring break trip to Florida, and now McAvoy is getting ready to start checking out some of the many schools that are expressing recruiting interest this spring.
“Florida was just great," Tim McAvoy said. “It was good to get away and to just enjoy the weather. Now I'm going to start to make a few visits over the next few weekends as well as getting ready for the Nike Training Camp in May. I'm going to the Iowa City, Iowa camp on the 16th. I'm going to the Notre Dame junior day this coming Saturday (April 3rd), then the following day I'm going to the Wisconsin junior day."

Tim McAvoy continues to receive hand-written letters on an almost daily basis. According to Tim McAvoy, "I'm getting hand-written letters from Notre Dame, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern and Michigan. Several other schools have started sending me letters as well."
McAvoy could also see recruiting interest at a few different positions as well. "Some schools have talked about me playing tight end, defensive tackle or even offensive tackle. I'm not concerned at all about position, and it's not a big factor for me at all. I just want a chance to play in college and to contribute."
