TE Jude Wolfe on Michigan: The offer was huge

Jude Wolfe had an inkling that an offer from Michigan could be coming his way.

Still, even when he got the official word that the Wolverines were offering, the 2019 three-star tight end from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco seemed a little surprised.

It’s definitely a big one.

“The offer was huge,” Wolfe said.

“I talked to coach (Brian) Smith after he left my school, and it was great. I think very highly of the program, and I really like (coach Jim) Harbaugh's coaching style.”

Michigan is a major offer for Wolfe but the 6-foot-6, 247-pound recruit in the 2019 class is growing used to being pursued by big-time programs.

So far, Wolfe has landed offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Fresno State, Kansas State, Michigan, Oregon, San Jose State, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington and Western Michigan.

Cal and Stanford are showing increased interest in Wolfe, who does not have any clear frontrunners this early in his recruitment.

Powerhouse St. John Bosco played in Washington, D.C., recently and during that trip Wolfe got even further assurance that the Wolverines were highly interested. The offer followed soon after.

“I spoke to (Michigan recruiting coordinator) Cooper Petagna last week while in D.C., and he told me they had interest in me and liked my film, so I expected them to keep in touch, and I was super excited when I got the offer,” Wolfe said.
