TE Hiben to make two weekend visits

Waconia, (Minn.) tight end prospect Joey Hiben (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) has finally gotten a break in his busy summer, and this weekend Hiben and his family will be making two unofficial visits.
"Things have been going pretty well so far," Joey Hiben said. "I'm still playing some AAU hoops this summer, and I've also been working hard in the weight room getting ready for my senior season. I'm getting a break this weekend from everything, so my parents and I are going to make unofficial visits to both Purdue and Illinois."

"I get along very well with the coaches at Purdue, and I've been wanting to see what the Boilermakers have to offer. Illinois has an excellent engineering and architecture program, and academically Illinois has a lot to offer. I don't know much about the Illini program, but I'm very interested in seeing the campus and the facilities as well as getting more information on the academic side of things at Illinois."
Hiben is also keeping Notre Dame on his short list this summer.
"I was finally able to get a hold of Coach (Greg) Mattison at Notre Dame, and he told me that the staff is going to sit down in the next few weeks to talk about some things. Notre Dame still seems very interested recruiting me at this point."
Joey Hiben has scholarship offers from Minnesota, Central Florida, Kansas, Indiana, Colorado State, Colorado, Purdue, Stanford, Missouri, Northwestern, Boston College, Texas Tech and Colorado.
