TE Hiben lands his third offer

Chaska, (Minn.) tight end prospect Joey Hiben (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) from Waconia High School has just returned from his spring break vacation with his family, and Hiben has landed his third scholarship offer this spring.
"I just returned yesterday from spring break," Joey Hiben said. "I really enjoyed being in warm weather, but coming back to 40 degree weather here was rough. When I got home I had a package waiting for me, and Stanford has offered me a scholarship."

Hiben, who had earlier offers from Purdue and Missouri, talked about his latest offer from the Cardinal. "I don't really know a lot about Stanford. I'm well aware of it's great academic reputation, plus they play in the Pac-10 conference. I'm going to do some research on Stanford and I'm very excited about getting an offer from them."
Hiben has also seen his recruiting interest rise this spring. "My mail has definitely picked up. I'm still getting a lot of hand-written mail from several Big 10 schools, and lately both UConn and Texas Tech have really picked things up."
