TE Has Big Plans

Miami (Fl.) Carol City tight end Laenar Nixon has an idea on what type of team he wants to play for next fall. A "wide open, throw the ball a lot type of offense." he says.
The 6-foot 3, 210-pounder has an offer from Virginia Tech whom he visited on Nov. 30. However, he still has a visit to Oklahoma scheduled for Jan. 11.

"I visited Maryland on Dec. 14, and I liked it there but, I want to be the focal point of the offense I commit to." Nixson stated
Rutgers has also offered Nixon, but he says “that’s a long way off and besides I'd like to play for a major bowl contender." Nixson added "My visits are important to me and after I complete them, my parents and I will sit down and discuss what may be in my best interest. I won't make a decision until signing day."
Anything else we should know?
"Yes, I'll be playing in the California-Florida Bowl game out in Southern California on Jan. 2. It will be televised on Fox Sports so watch for me there.”
