TE Flander draws call and interest
West Des Moines, Iowa tight end/defensive end prospect Trent Flander (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) has continued to see steady recruiting interest so far during the May evaluation period, including receiving his first call from Iowa State over the weekend. The Cyclones offered Flander earlier this year.
“I've gotten a call from the Iowa State coaches," Trent Flander said. “Iowa State called me over the weekend, and it was a good chance to talk with the coach on the phone. I was able to ask some questions, and Iowa State is very interested in having me become a part of their program."

"So far Iowa and Iowa State have made in-school visits, and I know that Kansas is also coming to school soon. My coach also said that a few other schools have been in so far, but I can't remember who they were. It was a few weeks ago."
Flander also is seeing some new recruiting interest in May. "My coach told me that the Miami (Fla.) coaches called his today at school, and they told him that they were impressed with my junior tape. It would be great to draw some recruiting interest from the Hurricanes."
