TE/DE Has First Two Offers

A versatile tight end from Virginia has a solid top four, and it looks like that’s the pool he’s going to choose from.
“My top four, in no particular order, are Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and North Carolina,” said 6-foot-5, 265-pound tight end and defensive end Nick Marshman. “I may add a couple more schools to that list, but right now they’re in the lead.”

Marshman has taken unofficial visits to each of his four favorites, and enjoyed each of them for basically the same reasons.
“They’re all located in really nice areas and they have good business marketing majors, or programs related to that. That’s important, because I know that’s what I want to major in.”
He has two early offers, from West Virginia and Virginia Tech, and knows that if he improves his speed he’ll see more offers come in.
“I run the 40-yard dash in about 5.0 seconds flat. I can definitely improve that.”
With his good size, and ability to put 20 pounds on his frame, he could project as an offensive lineman in college. But apparently, West Virginia and Tech offered him as a tight end, and maybe a defensive end.
“I’ve got a solid top four, and I may add two schools to that. If nothing changes, I could take a while deciding, because those four are so even right now.”
