TE Commits To ACC

One of the top tight ends on the east coast has committed to an ACC school. Who is he and where did he go?
"I am a Virginia Cavalier," said Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy tight end Tom Santi. "I committed last night after my visit this weekend. I loved the academics, the football program but most of all it was the people. The coaches were great and all the players were like a family."

Santi, who is ranked as the No. 17 tight end in the country by Rivals.com, chose Virginia over offers from Iowa, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and others, is thrilled to have the process over with.
"I was just looking for a place where I would fit in socially and academically," he said. "And it doesn't hurt that UVA is close to home and they use the tight end a lot."
Santi is 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds. As a junior he caught 46 passes for 650 yards and 12 scores.
