Offers continue to rise for 6-foot-4, 255-pound tight end Chris Burton. The Danville (Va.) George Washington prospect is up to seven offers and discussed what's next.
"I just got another offer from Hampton," he said. "I think that is No. 7 for me."
Burton has taken it easy recently, not taking visits.
However, that is likely to change soon as Burton is planning summer trips to Vanderbilt, NC State, East Carolina, Maryland and possibly Duke's camp.
"I'm just starting to take visits this summer," he said. "I haven't planned the visits yet."
Burton hopes to get a lot out of these trips.
"I just want to go and visit the coaching staff, check out the facilities and talk a bit more about their academics. I'm looking at all of it to help me with my decision."
The visits could prove critical, as Burton wants to get a decision behind him.
"Most likely I'll make a decision before I go back to school in the fall."
Burton posted 16 receptions for 315-yards and two touchdowns along with three sacks as he earned first team all-district and metro as a junior.
