TE Burton considers officials

Tight end Dante Burton holds five offers. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder out of Paterson (N.J.) Paterson Catholic is beginning to look into official visits. Has Burton scheduled any trips yet?
"I have the same offers, Cincinnati, Maryland, Syracuse, Tennessee and East Carolina," he said. "Miami has given me a verbal offer. They haven't seen my ACT or SAT. It's high and I'm sure when they find out, they'll officially offer."

Burton is looking at officials. Where is he considering?
"It looks like I'll take officials to all the schools that have offered," he said. "I might take one to Miami.
"So far I've only called Syracuse and Cincinnati to try to set them up. I didn't get to talk to the coaches. I still have to call Tennessee, Miami and Maryland. I may go see ECU. They played a good game the other day and beat Virginia Tech."
At this time, the two-star prospect maintains there are no leaders.
"I haven't been to any of the schools except Maryland and that was good," he said. "I'm not rushing into anything. I've got to take these officials first."
Burton and Paterson Catholic open the season a week from Friday on September 12th.
"My team is looking good," he said. "I'm excited to get back to that championship. I want to get to Giants Stadium.
"I have seen a big improvement from last year. I'm smarter, stronger, faster and I'm trying to take more leadership."
