TCU reels in four-star DE Joseph Adedire

Schools coast to coast covered Joseph Adedire, but June served as a reminder to what was most important to one of the nation's best defensive lineman.

After seeing TCU, Northwestern, Michigan, Georgia Tech and again returning to Fort Worth, the Horned Frogs scored a commitment from the hometown four-star defensive end from nearby Mansfield (Texas) Summit.

"I prayed about it and it came to me," Adedire, the Lone Star State's No. 48-ranked player, told Rivals.

"Coach (Zarnell) Fitch and Coach (Dan) Sharp are great coaches who have a great record of coaching defensive lineman that excel."

While Adedire had opportunities to play all over the country, Fitch -- who was among the first coaches to extend an offer to the hybrid defensive lineman -- stayed true to his approach.

Ultimately, Adedire made bookmark trips to Fort Worth to affirm his gut feeling.

"Seeing other schools helped me make this decision," Adedire said. "You know, it was my first time seeing most of the coaches, so seeing how they acted toward me meant a lot. Ultimately, I felt like TCU was best after praying (on it) with my family."

A big reason why was the defensive line coach who offered in May.

"Coach Fitch took me around his family and we went everywhere and they adjusted the visits to see what we needed to see," he continued. "Ultimately, I feel as if he is the coach who really sees my value as a player."

Adedire is the fifth addition to TCU's 2022 recruiting class, which entered the weekend ranked at No. 90. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound hybrid defensive lineman is the highest rated recruit in the Horned Frog's haul.
