TCU, OSU top Texas RBs list

Pearland, Texas, all-purpose back Brandon Roberson is one of the better smaller backs in the Midlands Region and the 5-foot-9, 185-pound scat back has the attention to prove it.
“I still have the offer from Northwestern, but I think I’m close to getting a few new ones,” Roberson, who rushed for 2,228 yards as a junior, said. “I’m going to TCU’s camp at Westside High School here in a few weeks and right now I really want to see what TCU is going to do with me. I want to show them what I have. They have a good running back tradition, and I want to impress them.”

And if TCU offers?
“A commitment isn’t out of the question,” he said. “It’s not out of the question at all.”
But it’s not a lock either.
Roberson said he’s still interested in Northwestern and he’s been getting more hand-written letters from Oklahoma State lately and he would be interested in the Cowboys, too.
“I really like Oklahoma State, too,” he said. “ I don’t know what I really like about them, but I just do. I like the atmosphere up there.”
Roberson said he’s been working hard this summer on his team’s seven-on-seven team and they play in a state-tournament qualifier this summer at Baytown.
