TCU locks in Rivals250 WR DJ Allen

For some, making their college decision is the most arduous they'll ever have to make.

For DJ Allen, it came way more naturally.

Allen, a native of small East Texas town Gladewater, grew up rooting on the Horned Frogs. Malcolm Kelly recruited the in-state pass-catcher harder than any other coach, so as his senior season crept closer and closer, it was finally time to lock in a decision.

While he wrestled with in, Allen noted that TCU checked all the main boxes.

"It was definitely a very hard decision to make," Allen told Rivals. "I wanted to go to TCU because it was my dream school. Coach Kelly and I have a good connection. All of the visits I took, everywhere, everything was amazing. TCU just did everything well. It came down to going to the school I always wanted to go to."

The 6-foot, 190-pounder from East Texas is the nation's No. 26-ranked wide receiver and a top-35 prospect from the Lone Star State. He sits No. 175 overall in the country.

The Horned Frogs boast a top-100 class and add Allen, a four-star pass-catcher, to the fold along with fellow Texas four-star defensive end Joseph Adedire and Tennessee defensive back D'arco Perkins-McAllister.
