TCU, K-State lead for DB

Bakersfield (Calif.) Bakersfield C.C. cornerback Dustin Bell is one of the best players on one of the nation's top teams. The 6-foot, 180-pound three-star prospect has blown up this season on the field and is now a very wanted man in the recruiting process.
After bouncing back from UTEP and redshirting in 2006, Bell has worked hard this season and believes he's now one of the top defensive backs in the California junior college ranks.

"I know the game," he said. "I study the game really well. That's one of my biggest strengths. I know what the receivers are going to do next. I'm also very physical on the line and any time we're in man-to-man, I can lock the guy up."
Because of his redshirt season, Bell has two years for two seasons. But the good news for the college coaches looking at him is that he's a December graduate.
After already taking a visit to Toledo in early October, Bell has lined up another visit to TCU on Dec. 7 and Kansas State on Dec. 14. He's also talking to other schools like Bowling Green, San Diego State and Nevada about visits.
"I know for sure I'm going to K-State on the 14th," Bell said. "I don't know how I'm going to fit all these other visits in because I'm done in December. Bowling Green just offered me (Tuesday), and they want me to come on a visit. It all depends on my schedule. TCU offered me and wants me to come on Dec. 7. Nevada, San Diego State and a bunch of others want me to trip. I just don't know how it's going to all work out."
Bell, a native of the Dallas Metroplex, said TCU is really high on his list at this point in time.
"I'm liking TCU a lot," he said. "It's right down the street from my house. I'm a Texas boy, too. Charles McMillian is recruiting me for TCU. He's a great guy. He recruited me out of high school. I was a quarterback out of high school, and they wanted corners, instead of quarterbacks. So I ended up going to UTEP."
"K-State is also up there. Bill Snyder recruited me when I was in high school, so I'm liking K-State a lot too. I talk to Greg Burns. He's a great guy. He's also the DB coach. He's coming out here to see me on Wednesday, and he's also going to visit with my mom."
