TCU commit Ben Wilson not planning other trips

Ben Wilson has been committed to TCU since late June and the three-star linebacker was back on campus this past weekend for his official visit.

It was another valuable trip to Fort Worth for the Sumner, Wash., standout who put up huge numbers on offense and defense this season.

He loves how the Horned Frogs play defense and Wilson believes he’d be a perfect fit.

“We had visited before and it was great to get back on campus,” Wilson said.

“It was good to get to know some of the players better and spend time with coaches on the expectations and culture of the program. Watched a practice as they prepare for the bowl game. All the activities were great. Coaches seemed happy with the season and upcoming bowl game.”

The three-star standout continues to stay solid in his TCU commitment even after Washington recently offered.

The Huskies had been showing a lot of interest - and he has visited the local school many times - but there are still no other official visits planned. Wilson knows Washington well but it does not sound like he’s preparing for a flip at this point.

After his return visit to TCU, the Horned Frogs seem to still be looking good.

“No other visits scheduled,” Wilson said. “I spent a lot of time visiting the key schools in the spring so I feel pretty good.”

Wilson finished with 141 tackles and 1,259 rushing yards with 20 touchdowns in his senior season.
