THE LATEST: Martin named a top four of LSU, Oklahoma, TCU, and Utah in November, and he recently put Oklahoma and TCU at the top of that list. On Wednesday, he announced his commitment to the TCU Horned Frogs.
IN HIS WORDS: On his decision: "TCU was the best fit for me with my family and educationally and also on the field. They have a great coaching staff, a great environment, and it is also a great area for my future. Like coach P says it's not about four years it's about 45, and that's who I'm going with."
On when he knew he wanted to be a Horned Frog: "Ever since the summer when I was first going to commit but I was delayed. They were always my No. 1 and I stuck with them."
Another reason he chose the Horned Frogs: "I have a whole bunch of family out there (in Texas), and it has been a long time since I've seen some of my family out there. So that will be great as well."
RIVALS' REACTION: Martin is known for his ability to put immediate pressure in the offensive backfield and the Big 12 will certainly give him plenty of opportunities to pin his ears back and get after the quarterback. TCU has earned a reputation for its strong defense under coach Gary Patterson, and Martin gives the Horned Frogs another explosive defender.
