Taylor returns from CSU

Three-star cornerback Jamar Taylor (5-11, 185, 4.49) from La Mesa (Calif.) Helix took his second official trip to Colorado State this past weekend.
"Colorado State was good," Taylor said. "The new coaches like new head coach Steve Fairchild is from the NFL and I think he will turn it around.

"I didn't commit though," Taylor said. "I'm not ready to commit just yet. I'm just waiting until signing day before making my decision. That's when I'll make my announcement.
"I don't have any visits set up this week because of the new All-Star game this weekend," Taylor said. "I'm visiting Washington State the week after that though.
"I have no favorites right now, but I kind of like Colorado State," Taylor said. "Because I feel I have a chance for early playing time there.
"With the new coaches coming in everybody will be in on even footing and it will come down to those who can get the job done and will work the hardest."
Taylor earned first-team San Diego Section all-CIF, first-team all-area and first-team all-league as a senior after collecting 55 tackles and picking off four passes.
Taylor's stats are impressive when you take into consideration that opposition didn't throw a lot his way. He is the most with his opportunities.
Taylor was a member of the Rivals.com California Top 100 for the class of 2008 landing as the Golden State's No. 86 prospect at any position.
