Tavale still looking at three schools

St Paul, Minn. three star ranked offensive/defensive line prospect Ned Tavale (6-foot-3, 305 pounds) from Cretin-Derham High School is in the process of taking three official visits to his final three schools of choice.
“I made my first official visit last weekend to the U (Minnesota)," Tavale said. "My visit to the U went really, really well overall. I was able to get to know Coach (Glen) Mason and the rest of the coaching staff and the players much better. I was impressed at how well the players and the coaches get along and interact. It was a really good visit and I had a lot of fun."

Tavale will hit the official visit road again this weekend in Ames, Iowa.
"I'm making an official visit to Iowa State this weekend. Iowa State has been recruiting me for along time now and I'm interested in seeing what they have to offer. I like dealing with the coaches on the phone and in person, and I'm looking forward to getting a chance to meet the players this weekend."
Also don't count out Illinois, one of Tavale's current favorite school's just yet.
"Illinois just hired Ron Zook today, and I talked with one of the assistant coaches a few nights ago. I've set an official visit to Illinois for January 17th. I'm also really interested in what Illinois has to offer. Illinois offers a very strong education, and I'm excited to see how things go with it's new coach and coaching staff."
Tavale, who has had in home visits so far from both Minnesota and Iowa State, isn't in any rush to make his final college choice.
"I think it would be unfair for me to make a decision without seeing each school in person and for me to get a feeling for each program. I really want to take my three scheduled visits before I decide."
