Tautalatasi nets first Pac-12 offer

Dasmond Tautalatasi has been talking to the Arizona State coaching staff for a while and after lengthy conversations the Concord (Calif.) De La Salle recruit finally got his offer.
The 6-foot-1, 186-pound prospect who looked good at the recent Rivals Camp in Los Angeles landed his first Pac-12 offer from the Sun Devils and he said they're recruiting him to play safety.

Tautalatasi, who also has an early offer from San Jose State, could also play running back.
"I just received the letter from ASU," Tautalatasi said.
"I've been talking to them for a while now and they just sent the offer letter in the mail."
Through those numerous conversations, the Arizona State coaching staff has given the De La Salle standout a rundown of what the program offers, an idea of how things are run there and he is definitely interested.
Nothing has been finalized yet but Tautalatasi is hoping to schedule an unofficial visit to Tempe soon so he can check everything out for himself.
"They told me a lot about their campus and their defense and how they're ranked really high for passing yards and interceptions and how their defense plays well," Tautalatasi said.
"I'm definitely trying to get down there. I'm working it out and seeing if it's possible to make it down there but money is tight right now."
Other than the offers from Arizona State and San Jose State, Tautalatasi said he's been receiving more interest from Vanderbilt and Utah State as well.
