Taubler wants to remain open

Ian Taubler insists it's still early in his recruitment and he hasn't named any favorites yet but UCLA and Cal are sticking out at least a little bit as the Fresno (Calif.) Bullard tight end continues to pick up offers.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect really likes the Bruins and Golden Bears and he camped for one day in Berkeley this past weekend where things went well. Now Taubler is hoping for an offer from Cal since it's a school he really likes.

"I'm really interested in Cal," Taubler said.
"I was at their one-day camp and I got a little tour of their facilities and I did really well at their camp so I'm hoping to get an offer pretty soon. Like I said, I think they're going to offer pretty soon."
Taubler, who missed most of last off-season because of injury and illness, is also high on UCLA especially since he was offered shortly after a solid performance at the Stanford NIKE Camp. He said there is a lot to like about the Bruins and that they're under serious consideration.
"They're up there," Taubler said. "With UCLA, I love the college, they're one of the best public schools and it's UCLA, what is there not to like about it?"
Arizona is the latest offer for Taubler but it's unclear where the Wildcats stand now that they've landed a commitment from four-star tight end Taylor McNamara out of San Diego (Calif.) Westview. Taubler had a lot of good things to say about Arizona and how it uses its tight ends.
"They've had a lot of good tight ends," Taubler said.
"The past few have gone to the NFL. I'm really open about everything. Arizona would be a great fit for me mainly because they throw to their tight ends a lot but I'm still open about things."
Arizona, Fresno State, Oregon State, UCLA, Yale and North Dakota have offered Taubler, who said he wants to remain open in his recruitment.
He added that Stanford has started to show interest and that the Cardinal coaching staff would like him to camp this summer.
