Tate ready to get to next level

Defensive end Michael Tate signed with Arkansas out of high school and spent two years with the Razorbacks before transferring to Blinn.
Now, the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder is looking to get to the next level again and already has his first scholarship offers in hand. Tate says that he's thinking about a visit this weekend. With his team heading to the NJCAA national championship in December, he's just trying to get 100 percent healthy.

"I really have been banged up all season," Tate said. "I sprained my ankle real bad during two-a-days and I've been playing on it still. But, it's going alright. We're heading to the championship."
Tate says that his first two scholarship offers are in from Troy and Iowa State. He's thinking about visiting one of those schools this weekend.
"I think I may go visit Iowa State this weekend," Tate said. "We'll have to see because I don't know yet where I'll be visiting for sure yet."
Tate says that Texas A&M is also showing interest.
