Tate has another big game

Khalil Tate had another outstanding game in last weekend's win and the four-star proved he could be a special player in college.
The Gardena (Calif.) Serra quarterback threw and ran for multiple touchdowns in the win over La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat and Tate was amazing late, running for about 50 yards after escaping multiple rushers for the final score.

"My thing is I've always lived my life trying to be different," Tate said. "Never follow in the footsteps, always listen to what people say but never follow what somebody else did. You never know, you could start a path for somebody else.
"On the field I feel like I can't be tackled. Whenever there are a lot of people around me I just use my determination. I used my determination and my will to get out of tough situations and obstacles."
The four-star prospect committed to Arizona in March and is not looking at other programs.
Tate said with the Wildcats he might not run as much but that option still makes him a serious threat at quarterback.
"At Arizona I'll be more conservative with my running," Tate said. "I take a lot of hits now and I'll be more conservative. I'll try to do the same things I do here - make plays, run the ball, all that.
"It helps that I can run so well. Teams don't believe in my arm. They don't think I'm accurate. That helps me out that they don't think I can throw so when I do throw they're sad."
Texas A&M has offered and is showing a whole lot more interest but Tate said he's sticking with Arizona. A lot of top prospects from Serra head to USC and Tate said even if the Trojans get in the mix that his commitment remains firm.
"(Texas A&M) came (last Thursday) for our practice," Tate said. "I talked to them last week but it's still Bear Down.
"I'm too much of an honest person."
