Tate gets offer No. 1

The first scholarship offer is now in hand for Hempstead, Texas running back Chris Tate.
Just days ago he was waiting on the first one to come along and now it has from his leading school. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder isn't quite ready to decide yet though.

"I got an offer from Baylor," Tate said. "They were reviewing my film last week and they were telling me that they wanted me to play running back. Then they just sent my offer."
Tate says that Baylor is his leading team right now. However, he has to take care of a few things before committing.
"I'm pretty happy right now," Tate said. "They're my top team. But, I want to try to take my ACT and SAT, and get those scores higher before I commit. You could say it's coming up though."
One thing Tate would like to do is make a commitment when his friends do. That includes Rivals100 receiver Terrance Toliver.
"I may have to wait on him, I don't know," he said. "I'll probably try to do it with him."
