Tarver coming back from injury

Grove City (Ohio) Central Crossing defensive back Cameron Tarver made a big splash at the recent NIKE Training Camp in Columbus. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder already has an offer from Eastern Michigan, and is getting plenty of looks from other schools.
"I'm talking to Illinois, Cincinnati, Purdue, Kansas, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, and Wisconsin," he said. "Also, I talked to Ohio State earlier this year, but haven't kept in touch with them here lately. Eastern Michigan, Cincinnati and Illinois are the schools I talk to the most."

A few coaches have made a good impression this spring with Tarver.
"Coach Joe Tresey for Cincinnati is great," he said. "I have more of a one-on-one bonding situation from him."
With an offer from Eastern Michigan on the table, Tarver expects more offers to come in soon.
"Illinois and Cincinnati said they are close to offering along with Central Michigan," he said. "The rest, I didn't play much my junior year because I broke my collarbone, so they just want to see how I do this year and they'll probably offer.
"I'm fully healed and back in the weight room. I'm fine right now. Cincinnati and Illinois are probably at the top."
Tarver said he hopes to make a big splash this summer at camps after the injury.
"I'll be going to Ohio State, Cincinnati and Illinois," he said. "Those are all pretty much locked for now. I'm not sure after that."
When he does land more offers, Tarver said he's got a few things in mind when it comes to picking the perfect school.
"A really big thing to me is the fans," he said. "Everything else will come into place after that. The college atmosphere pretty much will be the biggest thing for me. It's not really playing time because if you deserve to play early, you'll play early.
"I will make the decision when the right offer comes in. I would like to make it earlier than later."
