Tarrant still narrowing it down

Things were over for the post-season early for Dallas (Texas) Samuel running back Cornell Tarrant. Still getting over not making the playoffs as a senior, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound runner is now looking forward to new interest in his recruiting process.
Baylor, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Kansas, Texas A&M, Maryland, Michigan State, and UTEP have all sent offers to Tarrant. While he narrows down the list, he's talking things over with this family to see what would be best for him.

"I don't want to sound crazy, but I don't even have a top five yet," Tarrant said. "There are plenty of offers to choose from and that's why my family has been talking with me about what I want to do."
Tarrant wants to get his list down to a group of schools that he will visit in December of early January. He's got a few schools looking good for those spots.
"Kansas State has been calling a lot," Tarrant said. "I'm thinking about visiting them. Georgia Tech has been showing a lot of attention too. I might visit Texas A&M as well."
Several factors will play a role in narrowing things down before he decides.
"It's really everything," he said. "We talk about education, distance from home, and all that. They want me to do whatever is best for me. It doesn't have to be close to home or in a certain part of the country."
Tarrant is rated as the No. 50 running back in the country.
