Tarheels Back In On Nicholson

The North Carolina Tarheels might have made an important move towards keeping their state’s top prospect right at home.
“The win over Florida State showed me that they can win a big game,” said Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor linebacker A.J. Nicholson. “I wasn’t sure of that before.”

Even with their impressive win over FSU, North Carolina still trails for their former oral commitment.
“I’m going to Notre Dame on November 2nd and I’ll schedule Miami soon,” he said. “I also like Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, Texas and Georgia and I’m thinking about going to the South Carolina-Alabama game this weekend.”
Nicholson, considered the third-best inside linebacker in the country, stands 6-foot-2 and weighs in at a solid 232 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4-seconds. He admits he has a tough decision ahead.
“I don’t know when I’ll decide,” he said. “I’m still having trouble deciding between the SC-Alabama game or the Tennessee-LSU game this weekend.”
