Tardy enjoys junior day to Pitt

Cornerback Harold Tardy out of Pittsburgh (Pa.) Perry Traditional Academy joined his teammates Jared Williams and Cameron Holland on a visit to Pittsburgh's junior day on February 28th. The 6-foot-0, 175-pounder had a good visit even though he didn't come away with an offer.
"It went alright I got to meet with coach Rhoads. We just talked and stuff like that," he said. "Basically on the visit the coaches went over the type of defense they run, schemes and how they work out in the weight room. I'd say at the moment Pittsburgh is probably my favorite because they have been showing the most interest of all the schools."

Other programs that have been in contact with Tardy include Iowa, Boston College, Akron, Georgia Tech and Kansas.
"Basically I'm looking for a school that will give me a good education and a chance to play football," he said. "If I can help it I'd like to stay a little closer to home as well."
As a junior, Tardy registered 35 tackles, seven interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He added six receptions for 200 yards and three touchdowns on offense.
"On both sides of the ball I have a knack for making big plays," he said. "I think I'm a pretty good cornerback because I intercept the ball a lot and I know what to do with it after that. I also can hit you too."
Tardy is planning to attend the Nike Camp at Penn State, Metro Index Combine and the Pittsburgh summer camp.
