Tampa WR wants to stay close

Tampa (Fla.) Chamberlin wide receiver Edner Alcin began to pick up offers after a solid performance at the Tallahassee NIKE camp. Since then he's picked up more offers and interest from a number of other schools.
"Iowa State, Central Florida, South Florida, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Akron, Missouri and Minnesota have all been calling me this month," Alcin said. "I have picked up offers from Central Florida, Missouri and Minnesota recently as well. Pittsburgh has not offered but they are basically just waiting for me to take my SAT."

Alcin attended the NIKE camp in Tallahassee in May where he ran the second fastest 40-yard dash time among wide receivers at 4.44 seconds.
"Florida is probably my top school right now," Alcin said. "I also like Miami, South Florida, Pittsburgh, Central Florida and some others. I would really like to stay in the state of Florida if I can. Staying close to home would be cool and I love the weather down here."
So far this season Alcin has caught 19 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns.
"I'm getting double teamed a lot," Alcin said. "One game I even got triple teamed. They had a corner on me head up, a safety playing me off the ball and a linebacker spying on me. We're trying to figure out ways around it to get me the ball more though."
Alcin is scheduled to the SAT for the first time on November 5th.
