Tampa wide receiver adds more offers

Andre Davis will be one of the most coveted wide receiver prospects from the state of Florida in the Class of 2011. Davis is a big time player from Tampa Jefferson High School. This past weekend he participated in the 7-on-7 tournament at USF that featured 16 select teams from around the state of Florida.
"We lost in the first round on Sunday so we were out pretty quick," Davis said. "I did pretty well, although I missed one game on Saturday because of a baseball game we had."
Davis, 6-1 and 180 pounds, is now up to a dozen scholarship offers after picking up three this past week from West Virginia, Illinois and Kansas.
"I don't know too much about West Virginia and Illinois. I will put a call into Illinois real soon. I know that Kansas has a new coach with Turner Gill. I am speaking with a few of their coaches. They seem nice and very up front with me.
"I am pretty open with everybody right now. Everyone is sitting even with me right now
"I haven't visited anyone yet but I know I am going to the Miami spring game. I am also going to the Nike Camp down there (Miami) and to the one in Gainesville. My mom is trying to set something up with FSU because we want to get to Tallahassee."
