Tampa TE visits Tallahassee

Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson tight end Trent Pupello turned in a stellar performance at the Miami NIKE camp. He began to pick up offers climbing to a total over a dozen after the spring and now he has cut his list to five schools with one school claiming a lead for his services.
"Florida, FLorida State, Oklahoma, LSU, Clemson and Ole Miss are just some of the ones that have called me so far," Pupello said. "There are others, but I don't really remember them because there have been a bunch of them."

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Pupello attended the Miami NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.74 secondes, the shuttle in 4.31 seconds, posted a 28-inch vertical jump and did 23 reps on the bench press.
"I have a top five of Florida State, Florida, Oklahoma, LSU and Nebraska," Pupello said. "Florida State is the No. 1 school on my list though. I went to the Florida State-Miami game and it was just awesome. The atmosphere and the fans there were just amazing. I had a great time and got to talk to coach Bowden and everything."
Pupello is ranked as the No. 72 player in Florida and the No. 21 tight end in the country by Rivals.com.
"I haven't really started to think about taking my official visits, but that is something my family and I are going to discuss soon," Pupello said. "I plan to take my official visits before I make a commitment, but you really never know I guess."
In Jefferson's first two games Pupello has caught about a half dozen passes, all for big gains and one for a touchdown.
