Tampa TE picks Blue Raiders

Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson tight end Byron Mcleod made an official visit to Middle Tennessee State this past weekend and decided that the Sun Belt Conference program was the right fit for him.
"I did commit," he said.

McCleod committed during a meeting with Blue Raiders head coach Rick Stockstill.
"(Stockstill) was the last person I talked to on the way out from leaving. He told me about how they need a tight end like me on their roster. Someone who is a very strong blocker, but who also could get downfield."
Mcleod enjoyed his official visit to Murfeesboro.
"It was straight," he said, "All the players and coaches welcomed us very well. It's better than I thought it was."
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is a two-star rated prospect by Rivals.com. He was recruited by G.A. Mangus for the Blue Raiders.
