Tampa TE getting looks

Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson tight end Byron McLeod has a trio of schools interested in him, but all are waiting to see how he performs on the field this season.
"Right now, Middle Tennessee State, Ball State and Florida International all want to offer me, but they need more film," McLeod said. "They just want to watch the first few games of the season."

West Virginia also was in contact with McLeod at the start of the summer.
The 6-foot-2, 212-pounder backed up incoming Florida freshman Trent Pupello all of last year, so game film is limited.
McLeod says he is very interested in learning more about his early suitors.
"I want to visit them like Ball State, I've never been there," he said. "I've never been to Tennessee, so I'm trying to get ready"
He and his Jefferson High teammates have been working hard this summer to get ready for the season.
"We've got it working," he said. "We just came from a 7-on-7 at Disney's Wide World of Sports. We lost in the championship."
McLeod is one of the favorite targets of Rivals100 quarterback Stephen Garcia, the top dual-threat quarterback in the Sunshine State.
