Tampa speedster favors three

It's a loaded year for defensive backs in the state of Florida and one of the very best is Terrence Mitchell. Mitchell, 5-10 and 165 pounds, is from Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough High School. He's outstanding on both sides of the ball at safety and wide receiver.
"As a receiver I run good routes," Mitchell said. "I can run well and have great speed. I can also make people miss. Defensively, I am physical and I take pride in that part of my game."

According to Mitchell he has a ton of verbal offers and six scholarship offers in writing. Those in writing are from Florida, FSU, USF, Duke, Florida International and New Mexico.
"South Florida, FSU and Florida are my top schools.
"My cousin (Lindsey Lamar) just signed with USF. We are close and I wouldn't mind playing with him or for coach (Jim) Leavitt. I like coach Leavitt. He's a different kind of coach.
"I like coach (Lawrence) Dawsey at Florida State. I have talked to them but I really haven't gotten to involved with them yet in the recruiting process. I didn't get a chance to go to their junior day. I will definitely go to their camp this summer.
"I like the graduation rate at Florida. It's high and they are near the top in the SEC. I like coach (Vance) Bedford. He doesn't beat around the bush with you.
"Right now I am really wide open and haven't got too involved with the recruiting process just yet."
Mitchell just started track season. He runs the 100 meters (10.5 electronic), 330 hurdles, triple jump and long jump (24-1).
This summer he hopes to camp at Tennessee, Florida and FSU.
