Tampa RB favors three

Maurice Hagens is a bruising back from Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech High School. Hagens, 5-11 and 220 pounds, rushed for 1,012 yards and 13 touchdowns.
"Most teams like me as a fullback," Hagens said. "My strength is my power. I am a north-south guy that loves to pound it between the tackles. I get stronger as game goes on. I am just trying to work on my speed and quickness."

According to Hagens he has scholarship offers from Tennessee (first offer), LSU, Purdue, Connecticut, Wake Forest, and South Carolina. From that offer list three standout.
"I am really looking at Wake Forest, Purdue and UConn.
"I like how Wake Forest uses the fullback. They let them run the ball and block.
"The Purdue rushing attack is good one and they are one of the leaders in the (Big 10) conference.
"UConn has a great run game too and they had one of the best backs in America."
Hagens is behind in the recruiting process. Why? He doesn't follow the game.
"I don't watch too much football and I don't know much about college football. I just want to play it and not watch it. I am studying teams online and talking with my coach
I guess I am new to the college game so I have to catch up."
Hagens did make it to the recent USF junior day. He was impressed with what he saw.
"It was good and they showed us a lot of stuff. I like their set up and it's academics first."
