Tampa LB with a bunch of offers

Keith Lewis is a linebacker that the recruiting world will hear a lot about in the coming weeks and months. This defensive prospect from Tampa Freedom High School has a bunch of scholarship at this time and certainly more are on their way.
"They (the offers) kind of came out of no where," Lewis said. "I got my first one from Kansas and that same day our head coach left. So that was upsetting to me but I still got the offer. And then more came after that. I have to say it's all unexpected."
According to Lewis he has 13 scholarship offers at this time. Michigan, Purdue and Memphis all offered him yesterday. Then he also has scholarship offers from Nebraska, Ole Miss, Colorado, Duke, USF, Maryland, Wake Forest and Louisville.
"I don't really have a top five or anything right now. I am just trying to keep my options open. Really, I like them all.
"Teams like FSU, Iowa State, Oregon, North Carolina, USC and Florida are all recruiting me hard but have not offered me yet."
This past weekend Lewis traveled north to Tallahassee to visit FSU for their spring game.
"That was an interesting trip. They were really trying to sell us on FSU. I like their facilities and I like the new defensive staff. I also really like coach (Jimbo) Fisher and coach (Lawrence) Dawsey. I had a good time up there and I think there is potential there. They signed like five linebacker last year so we will see what happens."
Lewis, 6-1.5 and 210 pounds, plays outside linebacker. He's one of the top defensive prospects in the Tampa Bay area.
"I am a linebacker with speed. I can play sideline to sideline. I know I just need to keep working hard on everything. I always want to get better and improve because I know I am not there yet."
