Tampa Ath likes first visit

Josh Balloon, a Rivals.com three-star prospect, helped lead Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson to the Florida Class 4A State Championship game in Tallahassee. Along with his busy playoff schedule in December, he also had enough time to squeeze in an official visit.
The 6-foot-212 pound fullback/linebacker took an official trip to Iowa State on December 13th.

How did his visit up North go?
“I liked it,” Balloon, who had over 800 yards rushing and 111, tackles in his senior season, said. “They (coaches) showed me a couple of game tapes and we watched practice. I got to see my name on a jersey which was real cool.”
Up next in January for the Jefferson high school senior will be visits to South Florida (1/10), Purdue (1/17) and Georgia Tech.
“Georgia Tech hasn’t offered me yet,” he said. “They were recruiting me as a fullback but now they’re in the process of evaluating my linebacker play on tape. I should here back from them soon.”
Balloon, who is best friends with teammate Reshaun Grant, admitted that the Yellow Jackets will most likely move up his list, if they offer.
What will it take for Balloon, who is open to all schools on his list, to sign on the dotted line on signing day?
“”I’m looking for someplace that I fit in,” he said. “Someplace that I can see myself at for the next four or five years.”
