Tallahassee center makes a decision

Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby center Kevin McCaskill has made a decision about college.
"As soon as I got down there, I talked with (South Florida head coach Jim Leavitt and I committed," McCaskill said. "I think it was the players and how much respect they have for the coaches as well, and how they showcase what they are."

McCaskill, South Florida's 21st verbal commitment in this year's class, chose the Bulls ahead of offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Louisville, East Carolina and Marshall. He made his official visit to Tampa during the weekend.
Greg Frey is McCaskill's USF recruiter of record with an assist from defensive coordinator Wally Burnham. McCaskill is the first verbal commitment for Frey in this year's class.
"We talked a lot and I enjoyed myself," he said. "Both (Burnham and Frey) are great guys."
Walter Walker was McCaskill's player host this weekend.
"He was real cool and treated me like his little brother," he said.
McCaskill is a three-star rated prospect and is the No. 13 center prospect nationally in the class of 2006.
