Junior to Watch: Micah Rucker

Position: Wide receiver
Size and Speed: Rucker is 6-foot-6 and 185 pounds. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.7 seconds and has a 34- inch vertical jump He has a 2.7 grade point average.
Honors: Rucker earned a spot on the all-conference and honorable mention all-state team as a junior.
Statistics: Rucker caught 36 passes for 600 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior.
Favorites: He favors North Carolina over Michigan, Virginia, Southern Cal and Michigan State.

“Being a tall receiver, I go high in the air to get the ball,” Rucker said. “I need to work on my speed a little.”
Rucker, who’s originally from Winston Salem, NC, list the Tar Heels as his early favorite followed by Michigan, Virginia, Southern Cal and Michigan State.
“North Carolina is my favorite,” Rucker said “They are a good football program that’s heading into the right direction. They produce good players.”
Rucker is getting hand-written letters from all favorites along with Florida, Florida State, and Miami.
On June 1st, Rucker plans on taking the SAT.
