Talented WR says FSU leads

Class of 2015 Greenacres (Fla.) John L. Martin wide receiver Tavares Martin turned heads on the field Thursday at Florida State's camp with an outstanding performance. He followed it up by naming the Seminoles his leader after the camp.
"Florida State is at the top of my list so far," said Martin, who already has an offer from the 'Noles. "I want to go to a spot that fits me the best."
Martin said lately the Seminoles coaches have been talking to him a lot and he made it a priority to get up to Tallahassee for camp this week.
"Recruiting has been going great with Florida State," he said. "We've been talking a lot on a day-to-day basis and the coaches say they love me up here."
Getting to see the campus up close has only strengthened Martin's love for FSU.
"College life, it rocks, it's the life," Martin said. "But Florida State is also a top program in academics and that's a plus for me."
Martin received high marks from the coaches following Thursday's session, something he said he appreciated.
"They told me they really love me and what I was able to do," he said . "They want me to keep it up and keep pushing out there."
One of the only other schools making a strong push for Martin's services right now it West Virginia. The Mountaineers have a strong recent history recruiting skill position players from Florida, and Martin is well aware of West Virginia's offensive prowess.
"They're explosive," he said. "They've had Tavon Austin and a couple of other receivers who have put up big numbers. They're known for big plays and I like that about them."
