Position: Running back
Size and Speed: Scott is 6-foot-1, weighs 200 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He bench presses 300 pounds and squats 295.
Statistics: As a sophomore, Scott rushed for 1,918 yards, breaking the Pennsylvania sophomore high school rushing record set by former Syracuse star James Mungro. Scott also scored 21 touchdowns that season and averaged 8.6 yards-per-carry. Scott did not play as a junior due to a knee injury.
Honors: Second-team all-state, all-area and team MVP as a sophomore.
Favorite Schools: Virginia, Penn State, Rutgers, Miami, Michigan, UCLA.
Skinny: Scott is anxious to get back on the football field again after injuring his right knee in the first game of his junior year. Scott, who sat out the remainder of the season, injured the knee while playing basketball during the summer following his sophomore season. He said he came back too soon from the injury, which required a second operation. He’s now completely healthy and running outdoor track.
Scott hasn’t done much lifting, as a result of the setback, and he’s just getting back to full speed on the track.
He said he’s wide-open on his college choice and really hasn’t thought about it much. But once recruiters realize he’s healthy again and get an opportunity to see him in May and over the summer, Scott’s list of schools is bound to grow.
