Talented Maryland DT up to eight offers

One of the top defensive tackles on the East Coast, Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park defensive tackle Raynard Randolph is rounding up offers. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder is up to eight scholarships including his latest from two elite programs in the SEC and Big East.
"I just picked up two more offers from Georgia and West Virginia," he said. "I have about six others from Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Rutgers, Syracuse, Eastern Michigan and Connecticut.

"Right now my top two are West Virginia and Rutgers. I like their program and they have a nice school environment."
The Scarlet Knights and Mountaineers stand out early; Randolph confirmed he is looking around.
"I want a good school and a nice environment," he said. "I've got to have a good education program. I want to go into business management.
"Location doesn't matter as long as I'm blessed to have a free scholarship that's great for me."
In the near future Randolph is looking at visits to West Virginia, Syracuse and Rutgers in the coming months.
Last season the Maryland tackle earned all-county and second team all-state honors as he helped his team to a 6-4 record.
"We had some problems with ineligible players and had to forfeit games," he said. "I did well. I got stronger, faster and quicker off the ball. I was smarter too."
