Tagaloa turns focus to recruiting

Boss Tagaloa has been loading up with big-time offers early in his recruitment but he hasn't gotten much time to think about favorite schools because he was focused on winning another state championship.
That happened this past weekend when Concord (Calif.) De La Salle downed Corona (Calif.) Centennial and the 2016 four-star defensive tackle was thrilled about his team's performance.

"It was really big," Tagaloa said. "We work so hard. We start January 8 every year and all that hard work paid off. It sucks in the beginning doing the actual work but after this you thank the coaches for what they've done."
Tagaloa, a 6-foot-3,303-pound lineman who plays both offensive and defensive tackle, has now landed offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin.
It has been a busy few months for Tagaloa, who recorded six sacks in 10 games this season, and now with the state title wrapped up it is the time to start focusing a little more on his recruitment.
"It's been blowing up a lot," Tagaloa said. "The main schools are UCLA, Cal, Alabama offered. There are a lot of schools.
"Right now I don't have any favorites. I'm not leaning toward anybody. I don't know. It's hard to think about during the season."
Now that the season is over, Tagaloa plans to take some unofficial visits to get a better feel for programs. Some local trips - he mentioned UCLA and USC as possibilities - could happen soon and then the others will be later.
"I'm going to take some unofficial visits this off-season," Tagaloa said. "I would like to take an unofficial visit to UCLA and check out USC with Devin Asiasi.
"It's really wide open for me."
