Tackle named all-district for two positions

Junior to Watch: Brian Armendarez
School: Fort Worth (Texas) Diamond Hill Jarvis

Position: Offensive tackle
Size and speed: Brian Armendarez is 6–foot-2 and 290 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 5.12 seconds.
Statistics: He did not have his defensive statistics available, but he averaged over four pancakes a game playing on the offensive line.
Honors: He was named second team all-district on offense and first team all-district on defense.
Favorite Schools: He is hearing from Notre Dame, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, New Mexico, Iowa, Army, TCU, Clemson and other smaller schools.
"Texas Tech is recruiting the hardest with about two letters a week and the favorite is TCU."
Colorado would be his dream school, if they offered, but they are not in contact with him right now.
He would like to make his official visits to:
TCU - "It's close to home and I've dreamed of playing there since childhood."
Texas Tech - "I like the team colors and the uniforms, besides it's Texas football."
Clemson - "Big name school reputation."
Texas A&M - "My cousin went there and they have a great tradition."
Skinny: "My leadership, strength, quick feet, good vision and ability to react quickly" are his strong points He described himself as a very dedicated player.
It appears that he would prefer to stay in Texas at the next level of play.
"Distance will be a factor as I'd like to stay in Texas, though if I have to leave the state for a scholarship, I will consider it."
He has thought out what he would like to see from a prospective school.
"I'm going to mainly look for a winning tradition and good team comradery as the factors in my decision. I want to go somewhere the team feels like an extended family."
He plans to attend camp at TCU this summer.
He benches 380 pounds, squats 530 pounds and has a 3.1 cumulative grade point average.
