Tabron hearing from new schools

Chris Tabron had two touchdown receptions in Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde's victory last weekend and the second one was the most memorable because it was a diving, fingertip grab that looked almost impossible to bring down.
But Tabron, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect, caught the ball, scored the touchdown and has proven to be a sleeper wide receiver in Southern California.

"I knew I had it," Tabron said. "You know how Randy Moss caught that pass over Darrelle Revis? It was just like that. It was easy execution."
Rancho Verde coach Pete Duffy said: "It was a really nice catch but Chris does that all the time in practice so we weren't surprised."
Recruiting is still slow to pick up for Tabron, who said New Mexico, UNLV, Nevada, Northern Colorado and Sacramento State are the main programs showing the most interest.
He will probably wait a few more weeks before announcing any favorites but said he plans to visit New Mexico and Sacramento State at some point. He might wait until after the season.
If he continues to play this well - and get more exposure because so many teams are looking at four-star teammate Junior Pomee - then Tabron could see his recruitment move up in a big way. Rancho Verde is still undefeated and mainly untested through six victories.
"I'm waiting for the middle of the season, a couple more weeks," Tabron said. "I don't have any favorites right now. I'm just going to wait a few more weeks."
