Tabb picks up new offer

Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic tight end Jack Tabb is visiting Maryland, checking out the school and the football program, and the junior prospect has just recently received some good news.
While in town on Thursday, Tabb learned the Terrapins are offering him a scholarship. Besides the fact that he's enjoying himself on his visit, the offer has made the trip worth his while.

"I'm enjoying it down here," Tabb said. "It was my first time coming down here so I guess (the offer) is sort of out of the blue. I'm interested in them, though. I've been talking to the tight ends coach."
Tabb was planning on visiting Pittsburgh sometime soon but is unlikely do that in the next couple of months.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect said he will visit both Pitt and Florida during the month of June. The Gators have just started showing interest of late.
Prior to this offer from Maryland the only school that had extended a scholarship to Tabb was Rutgers. As the home state school the Scarlet Knights figure to be a major factor in Tabb's recruitment as well.
Last fall Tabb caught seven passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns as a tight end. On defense he recorded 52 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks.
