Tabasky sending in applications

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland offensive lineman Eddie Tabasky is a prospect that many schools are keeping their eye on. His excellent academics combined with his talent make him a hot commodity among college coaches.
“The only offer I have is still North Carolina,” Tabasky said. “I get regular calls from Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, Harvard and Duke. Florida State was recruiting me at one time, but they got a commitment form another center and since then I haven’t heard much from them.”

The 6-foot-3, 330-pound Tabasky runs the 40-yard dash in 5.3 seconds, has a 375-pound bench press and 635-pound squat.
“Right now I am still kind of shopping around and seeing what all is out there,” Tabasky said. “I have sent applications in to Harvard, Penn, North Carolina, Florida and South Florida. I would say my top schools right now are Harvard, North Carolina, Penn, South Florida and Duke.”
He is currently ranked as the No. 59 prospect in Florida and is just one of many prospects on a loaded Mainland team.
“I will have to wait until December to take my official visits,” Tabasky said. “With the Ivy League schools you have to be accepted before you can take an official visit there. I also want to set one up with North Carolina and a few others.”
