"I went through admissions at a lot of different schools. I didn't make it through all of them. Basically I was looking for a Big Ten school close to home. And I felt strongly about Indiana."
"I talked to my family and friends and they said I should stay close to home."
"I was supposed to find out next week if I made it through Wisconsin's admissions. But I didn't want to wait."
"I'm done this time. I'm going to Indiana. My official visit there is Nov. 22."
The 6-foot-2 and 239 pound Szczesny, from Tucson (Az.) Pima Junior College, is originally from Niles (Ill.) Notre Dame. Szczesny is one of the top junior college linebacker prospects and has a three star rating.
