Syracuse picks up RB commitment

Dom Timbers is a running back prospect from Pittsburgh, Pa. Timbers, 5-10 and 185 pounds, made his college decision yesterday when he and his coach and some teammates made their way north to Syracuse University.
"He did commit to Syracuse," said George Novak, his head coach at Woodland Hills. "It was yesterday. I brought five of my kids up there. Dom has everything you want in a running back. He has great speed and is a 4.4 kid that can run away from people He has power and can run you over. He also have moves and can make you miss.
"Dom is also an outstanding kick returner. The coaches on defense also want him over there. He's just a special athlete and an overall football player."

Last year Timbers transferred from Central Catholic and had to sit out the first six games of his junior season. At Syracuse he could play on either side of the ball.
"I think he's open to anything. But I think he's a running back at Syracuse."
